M: So, Sergeant Linfield, can you give us your report?
L: Yes, Sir. We received a call at around 2.30 from Mr and Mrs Jones, of Bridge Street. They wanted to report a burglary at their house. I know the area well, so I went straight to the house. Mr and Mrs Jones were quite upset, so I interviewed them about what had happened. It seems they'd come home and found the door open and some things missing. Some other officers arrived then, and they took fingerprints and looked for clues inside the house. Mrs Jones went out into the back garden to get a bit of fresh air, and that's when she found a mobile phone, under a bush. I examined the phone and saw that it had a phone number on it labelled 'Home'. I called the number and spoke to a woman, and I asked her where she lived. I then went round to the house and found the burglar. The phone was his, and the woman I'd spoken to was his mum! I arrested the burglar, of course, and found Mr and Mrs Jones's things in his bedroom.
