Никто уже не мог сомневаться в результате конкурса. Нерео определенно победил. Старый Вантуссо повернулся к кандидатам и помахал Нерео.

В театре все хлопали. Но Нерео, весь покрасневший, казалось, не хотел двигаться. Вантуссо вручил ему "чудесную гитару" и улыбнулся...
