John and Peter are English schoolchildren. They go to school in the morning. John, who is older than Peter, gets up at 6 o'clock and his brother gets up at half past six. School begins at nine. They stay at school from 9 till 4 o'clock p.m.

They study at school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on Saturday and on Sunday there are no lessons.

John and Peter have their holidays in winter for two weeks, in spring during two weeks and in summer. The school year usually begins on the 15th of September.

Holiday is the time for rest. During the holidays children can go somewhere and do what they like.
