Традиционное общество – это общество, характерное, преимущественно для сельской местности (пример традиционного общества - аграрное общество), не подверженное динамичным изменениям. Понятия индустриальное и постиндустриальное общество, а также традиционное общество часто встречаются вместе. Традиционный тип общества является, в некотором роде, противоположностью индустриального и постиндустриального общества.
