Read the following passage and write about the similarities and differences between tradition and social media in 4-6 sentences. Traditional media means newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, etc. On the other hand, social media means social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. The traditional media vs. social media consideration brings us to a major difference between both. The center of attention of social media is to let people or users of it connect with known and unknown people. On the other hand, traditional media focuses on keeping people aware of various things such as politics, international affairs, etc. All information disseminated on traditional media goes through multiple layers of fact-checking. Also, the information gets produced by authorized journalists or reporters only. Therefore, all information shared on this type of media is absolutely true and reliable. Information on social media is often generated and disseminated by users. Therefore, the reliability in terms of truthfulness is dicey. It can be true and it can be false. Spreading rumors and mocked pictures are common on social media nowadays.

Traditional media and social media are two different ways of delivering information to the public. They have some similarities and some differences. Both types of media aim to inform, educate, and entertain their audiences. They also use various channels and platforms to reach their target groups. However, they differ in terms of their focus, credibility, and interactivity. Traditional media focuses on providing factual and verified information on various topics, such as politics, international affairs, etc. It is produced by professional journalists and reporters who follow ethical standards and codes of conduct. Therefore, traditional media is more reliable and trustworthy than social media. Social media focuses on enabling people to connect and communicate with each other, regardless of their location, background, or interests. It is generated and shared by users who may have different motives and agendas. Therefore, social media is more prone to misinformation, rumors, and fake news than traditional media. Social media also allows more interaction and feedback from the audience, while traditional media is more one-way and passive.

ДРУГОЙ ВАРИАНТ:

Traditional media, like newspapers and TV, and social media, such as Facebook and Instagram, differ in their main purposes. Social media is all about connecting people, whether they know each other or not, while traditional media focuses on informing about politics and international affairs. One key distinction is the way information is handled. Traditional media ensures reliability by passing through multiple fact-checking layers and being produced by authorized journalists. In contrast, social media content is often created by users, making its truthfulness uncertain. This distinction leads to a prevalence of rumors and manipulated images on social platforms, highlighting a major difference in the reliability of information between the two.
