I realized it was missing when I reached for it to make a purchase. Panic set in as I retraced my steps, checking stores and asking around. Fortunately, the security personnel at the mall found my wallet. It had been left at a coffee shop.

Relief washed over me as I retrieved my wallet. The mix of emotions included gratitude and a lesson learned about being more mindful in crowded places.
