Бджола плідно працює, збираючи мед і будуючи вулик, що символізує працелюбність та оптимізм. Вона вірить у свою силу і можливість вирішення проблем через працю.

Шершень, навпаки, байдужий і невдоволений життям. Він відмовляється від праці і не вірить в можливість досягнення щасливого життя.

Отже, через контраст між Бджолою та Шершнем у байці, можна зробити висновок, що Бджола представляє оптимізм та працьовитість, тоді як Шершень - песимізм та бездіяльність.
