Acupuncture is an ancient technique that appered in traditional Chinese medicine over 2.000 years ago. It uses small, thin needles inserted into the skin to deal with pain and inflammation. Traditional Chinese medicine uses acupuncture to balance the body's energy flow, called "qi" ( читається як "ци"). In Chinese medicine disturbance of qi in the body is believed to be a reason of many illnesses.
Therefore, acupuncture helps to heal and reduce the symptoms of diseases. By promoting the movement of energy, blood flow to the organs of the body increases. There more than 2,000 special points on the human body capled acupuncture points. Those are special areas of the body that affect organs and systems, that have connection to ilnesses. The acupuncturist inserts needles into these acupuncture points.
This type of medicine is allowed to all age groups. Generally, acupuncture is a low-risk procedore with minimal side effects. The most common side effects include:
1) Light bruises where needles where insered
2) Just some general soreness
3) Small bleeding at injection sites.
In conclusion it's a good way to numb the pain, but you mustn't expect a lot.
