In Ancient Greece , people were building small houses with small windows and two or three rooms . Ancients Greeks grew vegetables , olives , fruits and consumed fish and beef . They traveled by horses and ships to sail the seas . Their entertainments were hunting and horseback riding .

In Modern Greece , houses are constructed as blocks of flat , glass office blocks and villas . These days , Greeks have large choice of food and entertainments like dancing , going to the cinema or theater and watching TV. Comparing to ancient times , Modern Greeks travel by cars , ships trains and aero planes .
