Kherson is a port city in Ukraine, the administrative center of the Kherson region. Located on the Black Sea and the Dnieper, Kherson is the center of a large shipbuilding industry and a regional economic center. Population — 279,131 people. From March to November 2022, the city was occupied by Russian troops during their invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian troops recaptured the city on November 11, 2022.
