According to the archaeological finds, the population of primal people was increasing. People were dwelling long in one place and building their houses. Its base consists of stones and mammoths' bones, inserted between them and the branches covered with skins on top.
At the end of the nineteenth century, archaeologist Vikently Khvoyka found the remains of ancient human settlements near the Trypillia city in the Kyiv region. This founded culture was called Trypillian. The Trypillia settlement consisted of clay-covered wooden houses. During the period of prosperity, Trypillian were making settlement-giants. which were 2-3 thousand dwellings, located in several concentric circles. But this was only the settlement of farmers. There weren't temples, administrative buildings, palaces. Indo-Europeans were among the people who first began to build mounds, which were until now on the Ukrainian steppe. The East Slavs built fortified settlements, many of which later developed into important commercial and political centres.
