1. Hoverla is the highest mountain peak in Ukraine. Its height is 2061 m above sea level. It is located in the Carpathians, in the Chornohora mountain massif, on the border of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions.

2. The name "Hoverla" comes from the Hungarian "hóvár", which means "snowy mountain". Indeed, the top of the mountain is almost always covered with snow; the snow cover melts in July, and not always.
