The essay "My favorite sport is football"
I adore ball games, and I love football the most. As they say, football, football and more football! I play this game from spring to late fall in the sports field and school stadium. And in winter, I play football in the indoor hall of the sports complex. I was invited there by our school physical education teacher, who also teaches there.
Football is a very interesting game. It develops speed, intelligence, accuracy of reaction, endurance. No matter what they say, football trains not only the legs, but also the body as a whole. Football players are also very tough people, because they chase the ball in the fresh air from early spring to late autumn. Also, football is a team game and develops cohesion and team spirit. And what attracts me most in this game is its unparalleled excitement!
I follow the European and world football championships. And I am very glad that the last European Championship, Euro-2012, was held precisely in Ukraine and Poland. Dad and I never missed a single match on TV.
Of course, I really hoped that the Ukrainian national team would reach at least the quarterfinals. But, unfortunately, this did not happen. However, Andriy Shevchenko was and remains my favorite football player, even though he is already finishing his football career. After the exit of the Ukrainian team from the championship, I cheered for the English, then switched my attention to the Spaniards. Although most of my friends supported Italy, I turned out to be right. Spain won Euro-2012!
In general, my favorite team is Shakhtar Donetsk, and in Europe - Manchester United. However, if "Dynamo" plays in an international tournament, I passionately support this team. After all, it brings glory to our country.
Unfortunately, I have not yet visited our big stadiums, i.e. the "Olympic" and the "Donbas-Arena". When I grow up, I will definitely visit. I want to watch the matches with my own eyes! And I will take a fan pipe and a Ukrainian flag with me to the stadium and sincerely support my favorite teams!
