Кривошипно-шатунний механізм (КШМ) - це складний механізм, що використовується в двигунах внутрішнього згорання для перетворення лінійного руху поршня на обертальний рух колінчастого вала. У цьому механізмі рух поршень перетворюється на рух шатуна - стержня, який з одного кінця приєднаний до поршня, а з іншого - до кривошипа.
