I can not agree with this statement "The Internet teaches us nothing and people should avoid it."
At first Internet help us to find a lot of informstion that we need.For example we can do a report by Internet, we can find there all informstion that we need for it. Also Internet can help us with other educational issues.
Nowdays we can communicate with our friends or ralatives by Internet. It is very comfortable if your friends and ralatives live far away from you.
But also there are some disadvantages in surfing the net. A lot of teenagers spend much of the time in the Internet . Instead of walking with thiere friends they communicate with them in different social networks. They do not read books because they do not find it interesting. They think that it will be better to surf the net , watch a film or play a computer game. Many teenagers can not communicate with other people in real life because they do not know how to do it. But not only teenagers spend a lot of time in the Internet.Many adults spend a lot of time there too. They communicate with thier friends or ralatives there or find information for thier work by it. 
I want to say that people spend a lot of time in the internet and it is bad , but without internet we could not do so many functions. Our era is called informational age and it is true.
