Оба подняли свою страну из кризисов различными способами, при Петр 1 Россия стала мощным государством, при Людовике тоже самое, при Людовике Франция стала центром культуры, науки, философии, оба проводили реформы для развития государтсва, только Людовик большую часть для усиления своей власти, а Петр 1 для усиления страны. Оба правителя имели абсолютную власть, только у Петра 1 она была слабее, оба тяготели к новшествам в Старом мире и распространять их в своей стране.

Петр 1 путешествовал для этой цели по странам Европы, Людовик сам придумывал этикеты для дворян и претворял их в жизнь, но большинство он перенял у других стран, некоторые придумал сам.
