One of my favorite genrer of music is jazz, which arose at the turn of 19th and 20th centuries in the USA among the African-American population. Improvisation, polyrhythm, based on syncopated rhythms, and a unique set of techniques for performing rhythmic texture ,,swing,, were characteristic features of the musical language of jazz. Big band - a type of jazz instrumental ensemble consisting of 10-17 performers. It consists of three orchestra groups : saxophones, clarinets, brass instruments, rhythm section (piano, guitar, double bass, drums). The most popular jazz artists are Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis
