This winter vacation has been amazing! I managed to spend my free time in a very interesting and active way.
During the holidays, it was important for me to take a break from school in order to gain strength for the new term. But this does not mean that I lay on the couch all day. On the contrary, I moved a lot and went in for sports. Every day my friends and I spent it differently, for example, on Monday we went to the skating rink, and on Tuesday we went skiing. But most of all I liked to play hockey - this game teaches determination and trains agility. This is the kind of energetic vacation I love.
I tried to spend my free time not only actively, but also usefully. I paid a lot of attention to my hobby - reading. I have read Robert Lewis Stevenson's novel Kidnapped. I liked this piece because it is very exciting. I am sure that books make us smarter, so during the holidays I try to read as much as possible.
Winter holidays are also the time when the whole family gets together. Therefore, my parents and I went to the village where my grandparents live for a few days. I was very happy to see them, because they are such cheerful and cordial people. Grandma, as always, spoiled me with delicious food, and grandfather took me hunting and told old stories. I love spending time in the countryside: it's so quiet, cozy and fabulous. In the morning I walked through a small pine forest and watched the snow sparkle in the sun. And in the evening I stared at the clear sky, strewn with thousands of twinkling stars. It was very sad to leave this wonderful place.
This is how my winter holidays went. During this time, I managed to relax, see loved ones, do what I love. And now, full of strength and joy, I am ready to study again.
