Aplacas are very curious animals, who have their own different personalities just like humans, some are shy and passive, some playful and boisterous, while others are determined and a bit stubborn.

On the other hand, alpacas are quite large animals, adults weigh 100 to 200 pounds and stand about 3 feet tall at the shoulder, and they are social animals that live in herds, which means that they need lots of space. Of course alpacas will need regular care as well, for example, alpacas will need nail and teeth trimming every 6 to 12 months and they need shearing once a year by an experienced shearer. They also may need deworming and some areas may require vaccinations.

So the question is really hard to answer, and depends on how much money you have, to take proper care of an alpaca, as well as how much time you are willing to spend on this animal.
