Instead of huddling over my laptop throughout the day or gazing into my phone screen, I could explore outside with hiking or exploring local parks. My family members could come together for board games or activities like painting or making jewelry. Taking up hobbies like writing or gardening could also help pass the time. Additionally, carrying out house work such as cleaning and organizing may also be beneficial in staying productive without resorting to technology-based activities.
Overall, having a gadget-free day may not seem like something exciting to look forward to but it can prove beneficial in taking breaks from dependency on machines and clearing our minds of distractions created by technology. Without these devices consuming most of our attention spans , we may take better note of the environment around us or recognize things that need our attention in everyday life that we otherwise tend to overlook due to our obsession with screens and buttons.
