1745, 27 жовтня – у Глухові на Чернігівщині народився Максим Березовський – композитор, диригент, співак.

Освіту отримав у Києво-Могилянській академії. Писав твори для студентського хору. Хлопця помітив гетьман Кирило Розумовський і запросив 14-літнього Максима до Петербургу. Його зарахували до капели князя Петра Федоровича (майбутнього імператора Петра ІІІ). Князь був поціновувачем гарної музики і у своєму маєтку Оранієнбаум збудував “Оперний дім”, куди запрошував відомих оперних співаків з Італії. Тут Березовський дебютував у опері “Олександр з Індії”. Зі списків виконавців опери, за винятком Березовського, решта солістів були жінки (переважно італійки). Вони виконували чоловічі ролі, призначені для сопраністів (кастратів)
