I was walking home from the shops when I saw a snake on the path. I stopped and watched it for a while. It didn't see me. I took a step towards it, and it slithered away. I followed it into the bushes. Furthermore, I lost sight of it, so I started to look for it. Suddenly, I felt something touch my leg. I looked down and saw the snake wrapped around my leg. I froze. Likewise, I knew if I moved, it would bite me. I thought about what to do. Then I remembered that snakes are afraid of fire. I took my lighter out of my pocket and turned it on. The flame scared the snake, and it let go of my leg and slithered away. I was lucky to escape without being bitten.
