Як я розумію мова йде про героїв твору "Кайдашева сім"я".

Маруся мріяла про роботящу і слухняну невістку, на яку б вона могла скинути всю важку роботу. Мотря була ж з норовом та де й дуже скоро заявила, що робити на всю Кайдашеву сім"ю не буде. Більш того, Мотря дійно була роботяща, але при цьому вона була скупа і ні з ким не збиралася ділити своїм заробленим.

Цитата: "Кайдашиха догадалась, до чого воно йдеться, і трохи стурбувалась. Вона пряла ліниво, а Мотря дуже пильнувала коло гребеня. Вона боялась, щоб Мотря часом не випряла всього пряжва...

Мотря весело глянула на мотовила, зараз по обіді витягла з своєї скрині починки й почала мотать. Нове мотовило аж гуло в її руках і вряди-годи черкалось об сволок, об стелю. ... Вона почула в собі дух господині, самостійної господині. Свекруху брала злість... "Пропадуть мої конопельки! Похоплива невісточка попряде їх собі на полотно поперед мене", — подумала Кайдашиха."
