Тема: об'єднавшись, четверо друзів знаходять потрібно їм житло і можливості безбідно жити оскільки кожного з чотирьох героїв є свої особливі якості.

Ідея: багато людей особливо вдало застосовують свої здібності, якщо знаходять відповідний їм колектив.

Основна думка: казка показує нам, що четверо друзів перемогли ворога, оскільки у важкий момент кожен зробив те, що добре вмів, а також завжди потрібно підтримувати друзів, не кидати їх у біді, знаходити вихід із одного становища.

Характеристика героїв казки: ОСЕЛ: старий, ручний, розумний, кмітливий, веселий, добрий, працьовитий, винахідливий, жалісний, беззубий.

КІТ: зажурений, голодний, сумний.
