Ви́тус Ионассен Бе́ринг — российский мореплаватель, офицер русского флота, капитан-командор. По происхождению датчанин. В 1725—1730 и 1733—1741 годах руководил Первой и Второй Камчатскими экспедициями. Прошёл по проливу между Чукоткой и Аляской, достиг Северной Америки и открыл ряд островов Алеутской гряды.

2. Жак-Ив Кусто́ — французский исследователь Мирового океана, фотограф, режиссёр, изобретатель, автор множества книг и фильмов. Являлся членом Французской академии. Командор ордена Почётного легиона. Известен как Капитан Кусто. Совместно с Эмилем Ганьяном в 1943 году разработал и испытал акваланг.

But to the east of the continent on the well-watered slopes of the Great Divide there are many rivers. Some of them, especially the wild rivers are ideal for canoeing or rafting. Others are calmer and attract visitors who enjoy fishing, swimming, bushwalking or simply guing at the picturesque scenery. Many of the Australian most beautiful waterfalls are found in national parks: Kakadu's Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls, Fitzroy Falls, Russel Falls, Hogarth Falls and others. of Tasmania, The lakes in this dry land, to a great surprise, are of different sizes and forms: shallow coastal lakes and marshes, crater lakes, the tarns and small glacial lakes of the Tasmanian highlands.
