Bad storm hits Pineville!

There was a dangerous storm in Pineville last Sunday night. It started at 9:00 p.m. At first, it was very windy,and there was a lot of thunder and lightning. Then it rained for a long time. There were floods at the Pineville Shopping Mall and the bus station. A lot of trees fell down. The police helped people get home. It was very scary.

When the teachers, Mr. Jones and Ms. Green, arrived at our school on Monday morning, they were surprised. They saw water in our cafeteria, and there was a big tree in the library! The teachers had to leave the school because it wasn't safe. The Pineville students stayed at home last Monday, but they went back to school last Tuesday. The library is closed until next week. What a mess!
