Tom and Sarah decided to redecorate their bedroom together. They were arguing a little which colour to choose, but finally they went for orange paint for the walls.

When Sarah was mixing the paint, the doorbell rang. It was Mary who just dropped in to see how they were going on. When she was talking to Sarah, Tom was washing down the walls and their dog was barking at Mary all the time.

When Mary left, they began painting. They were painting the second wall when the doorbell rang again. It was Sarah’s mother who wanted to spend the weekend with them. When they were gossiping in the kitchen, Tom stopped painting and decided to walk the dog. He was putting on his jacket when the doorbell rang again.
