Доброта в рассказе «Уроки французского» связана с образами главного героя, его семьи и учительницы французского языка Лидии Михайловны.

Мальчик всегда поступал по честности и справедливости, он никогда не обманывал и не делал чего-то плохого.

Добротой отличается и мать главного героя. Несмотря на бедное положение своей семьи, она всегда старалась материально помочь старшему сыну. По сути ради него она отдавала самое последнее.
