maybe so why did you do it, Colin? Was it because you couldn't get a job? Well,
that started it. I suppose. I was having a coffee near the place where I had a job interview about a month ago. And the two guys who interviewed me came in. They didn't see me, but I heard one of them say, I can't stand it when they don't try to make a good impression. Did you see that old leather jacket he was wearing? Well, I knew they were talking about me, but thought, well, they're just boring old businessmen and forgot about it. Right? Who needs a suit anyway?
So what was the reason Then call him?
Come on. No, it was all very silly. Really? You'll laugh? No, we

Well, what happened was, I was in the supermarket, you know, standing in a queue at the checkout. And suddenly, I looked up at the CCTV monitor on the wall. I noticed this scruffy looking guy standing there. I couldn't see his face, but I thought, What a loser. Nobody would give him a job. What does the smart himself a bit, get a haircut, buy some new clothes, that sort of thing. Then, as I moved along in the queue, I saw the guy move to and suddenly realized it was me. Really, I don't know. Maybe what the interviewer said had affected me on a subconscious level. Anyway, that's when I decided to do something about the way I looked. And you got the job. Yes, I did, actually. Just what I wanted, in fact. So what is this new job thing calling

It was because he saw himself on the TV monitor on the wall in the supermarket and thought what a looser and decided to buy new clothes and make new haircut to get a job.
