Yes, i agree with statement that Diana was the people's princess. In London she earned her living working as a cook or nanny and then as a teacher in a kindergarten.

As she grew in confidence, Diana realized that she could use her fame and her influence to make people’s lives better.

It wasn’t only money that she wanted to give people. She wanted to give them a part of her soul. She had lots of friends among stars but even more among ordinary people.
