Eventually, the police was called upon to investigate the matter. By now, the strange hum had become extremely loud and could be heard all over the area. "Sometimes it's worse at night," said Mrs Jacobs, a local resident. Later in the week, a team of scientists will come to Collingwood in effort to solve the mystery of the humming noise.
