There are different food festivals all over the world.

I'd like to tell you about one of them.

Phillipine town of Lucban waits for the month of May every year because they celebrate special Festival to give thanks to the patron Saint of farmers for the good harvest. In this big and colourful harvest festival people of the town have a friendly  competition to decorate strings of local sausages and leaf-shaped and multi-coloured rice paste wafers which are used to decorate houses along with fruits and flowers from nature.
