я считаю, что Крылов высмеивает "Любопытного" за не внимательность

во первых, герой настолько увлёкся всякими мелкими мелочами,что даже и не заметил другие вещи

во вторых, он был любопытным, но не внимательным, и не заметил огромного слона

в третьих,как и в любой басне в басне крылова "Любопытный есть своя жизненая мораль"

а какая каждый поймёт по своему

следовательно, Крылов весмеивает "любопытного" за его невнимательность.
