According to a 2000 WHO study, the United States has the most stable medical system capable of responding quickly to changing conditions. America also ranks first in confidentiality and respect for patients, in timeliness of care and satisfaction of patients' needs (according to a survey by the Center for Disease Control of the National Center for Health Statistics conducted in 2006, 66% of respondents rated their health as "excellent" or "very good"[4]).

Although at the same time, the United States took only 37th place in terms of medical care and 33rd in terms of overall health[5].
