Действие любой классицистической пьесы должно

соответствовать правилу трех единств: места, времени

и действия.

Поскольку комедия писалась в рамках классицизма, в ней

сохранено обязательное для классицистической пьесы

триединство:

Действие происходит в пределах одного помещения -

в доме буржуа Журдена

и не выходит за рамки одних суток.

Единство действия выражается в том, что все события

подчинены раскрытию характера одного центрального

персонажа - Журдена.

В каждом из основных персонажей подчеркнута одна ведущая

черта в сатирическом преувеличении.

Согласно правилам классицизма, комедия имеет пять актов.

Её композиция отличается стройностью и внутренней

гармонией.

Язык комедии приближается к разговорному языку.

Отступления от правил классицизма в этой комедии

выразились в комическом показе дворян и в

использовании форм фарсового смеха.

Нет абсолютно положительного и отрицательного героя.

Образ главного героя неоднозначен.
