The title "People's Hero" is the highest degree of distinction in Kazakhstan along with the Order of the Golden Eagle and the title "Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan".The fundamental idea is the victory of eternal human values - Beauty, Goodness and Peace.
The golden seven-pointed star, a symbol of strength and wisdom, hovering over the sky-blue expanse is the rising star of a free people in the boundless, cloudless sky of the Motherland, moving upward to perfection. The order bar in the form of a triangle, a symbol of immutability and eternity, asserts the idea of faith in victory, in the future through the unity of the past and the present, symbolizing the country spreading its wings. The color of the sash and hot enamel corresponds to the color of the national state flag. The stylistic solution of the order is a life-affirming endless striving for Light. The title "People's Hero" is awarded for outstanding services to the Republic of Kazakhstan, feats of arms in the name of its freedom and independence. Persons awarded the title of "People's Hero" are awarded a badge of special distinction — "Gold Star". The highest degree of distinction - the title "People's Hero" was established by Law No. 2069-XII of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan" dated April 1, 1993 and was awarded for outstanding services to Kazakhstan related to the commission of a heroic civil or military feat.
