Help! I'm having problems with my e-book reader.

Yesterday evening I downloaded some books, and things were fine. But today when I switched it on again, the screen was dark, and I couldn't read anything. Can you help me or do I have to take it back to the shop?

The problem doesn't sound serious, and I think I can fix it. But if I can't, my mum is brilliant with technology. If you bring your e-book reader to my house this evening, we'll ask her to have a look.
