I am happy that I was born and live in Ukraine. I love her for her boundless, beautiful, immense expanses. Go out into the field - and you will admire the fields of tall rye, which stands like two high walls. Enter it - and its spikelets will hide you. Only the blue sky is your guide.

Such beauty caresses the soul. It seems that eternity would have walked this path, if only she  was not running out. And the architecture of Ukrainian cities! Kiev, Kharkov, Lvov. It testifies to the high level of culture of our ancestors.

Who has not admired the Sophia of Kiev and the Golden Gates of the princely city, the Vydubitsky Monastery and the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra with the Assumption Cathedral, the old gray-haired Podol Borisphei Dnieper? All these are spiritual symbols of national history and culture, without which our land cannot be imagined.

For fifteen centuries already, Golden-Domed Kiev has been towering on the Dnieper slopes - the capital of Ukraine, which had a historical mission to become the "mother of Russian cities", to play an important role  in the formation of one of the largest states in Europe, Kievan Rus.

Examining the distant spaces outside the Dnieper from the height of the Kiev hills, one involuntarily thinks: where did we go from, whose children are we? I would like to know who lived on our lands for several millennia, what language our ancestors spoke, what is the origin of the word "Ukraine".

Examining your native land, you admire its beauty and grandeur. What a breadth! What a space! In the west, the green Carpathian mountains rise, in the south the sea of ​​golden wheat is golden, in the east there are waste heaps of Donetsk mines, in the north the forests turn purple with red viburnum. And all this is my Motherland - Ukraine.
