The Little Engine that Could

This is a story about a small train, or ‘engine’ that pulls a very large train over a mountain. There are other trains that are bigger than the small train, but they don’t want to do it because they worry that the job is too difficult. The small train decides to do it. While he pulls the train, he says ‘I think I can, I think I can.’ And he does! The story teaches children that some jobs may seem difficult, but that doesn’t mean they can’t do them.
