I don't think there could be a huge difference between someone's story and the ghost story. According to the definition given in the dictionary, ghost is a non-corporeal manifestation of a dead person. And after his death, this person continues to live on the way he used to live before he was pronounced dead. He goes to work, he drinks tea, he takes a shower the way he always did. The only difference is that now he doesn't have a brain (nerve cells), so he can't think or reason. He can't comprehend the fact that now things are different, and something unusual has happened to him.
