St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev

St. Sophia Cathedral was and remains an important cultural and religious center. The first library of Yaroslav the Wise, a school, a bell tower, the Metropolitan's house, and the Zaborovsky gate were founded on its territory. The Cathedral has 260 km2 of original mosaics and 3,000 km2 of frescoes.
