Volunteering is very important nowadays.

Voluntary work usually means helping people, for example: Doing house keeping for old or disabled people, who can't do that by their own. Also voluntary work means restorating, or cleaning up public territory without getting paid. All volunteers are sort of a heros, because they do all the work for free. The type of skills for volunteer depends on his kind of job. For someone who needs to clean up, there is no any mandatory skills. But the wall painters, for example, have to know how to work with paint and painting instruments, and animal volunteers shouls know how to act yourself with them.
