Мы втроем шли по полу протоптанной тропе, вскоре свернули по пушистому снегу к проезжей части и двинулись по круговой дорожке в направлении так называемой Песчанки, откуда мы могли идти на станцию, минуя деревню. Рождествено. Между тем солнце садилось, и очень скоро стало совсем темно. Брат начал жаловаться, что ему холодно и он устал, и он помог ему сесть верхом на собаку, единственного члена экспедиции, который был все еще весел. Брат в полной тишине все свалился с неловкого коня, и, как в страшной сказке, лунный свет пересек черные тени придорожных гигантов-деревьев. Вдруг слуга с фонарем поймал нас, посадил на бревно и поехал домой.

It happened in the Middle Ages in a small town in Germany. The citizens of the town 1(worry) by the great number og rats which 2(give) the people no peace day band night.
