В ходе энергетического обмена наш организм получает столь важную для него энергию. Разберём все поэтапно на примере хлеба.

1) Хлеб попадает в пищеварительную систему. Там идёт его переваривание под действием ферментов и кислой среды. Одним из конечных продуктов распада будет являться крахмал.

2) Здесь же крахмал распадается на мономер - глюкозу. Она всасывается в кровь, а в конце доставляется к митохондриям. На этом завершается подготовительный этап катаболизма (энергетического обмена)

3) В митохондриях глюкоза расщепляется до пировиноградной кислоты. Это сопровождается выделением энергии, которая идёт на синтез двух молекул АТФ. Этот этап катаболизма называется гликолизом.

4) Пировиноградная кислота здесь же, в митохондриях, распадается на воду и углекислый газ под действием окисления (окислителем выступает кислород). Как итог - энергии хватает на 36 молекул АТФ. Этот этап называется клеточным дыханием.
