Polystyrene cups, plastic bags, plastic sandwich boxes pollute the environment the most. They are dangerous for an environment because do not deteriorate quick enough. It takes hundreds of years for plastics to deteriorate. Therefore we substitute plastic things with environmentally friendly  ones. Example: plastic strobes for the drinks are forbidden in Western Europe. Instead, they use paper ones, which are 100% recyclable.
