When I was a child, summer was my favourite season be­cause I  (had) a very good time. Usually I (woke up) at 9 o'clock and 3 I (ran) to the river 4 to (swim). My dog Spotty usually 5 (went) with me. I 6 Iiked to splash in the shallow water. Sometimes I 7 (threw) the ball in to the river and Spotty 8 (brought) it back. Together we 9 (went)  to the nearest farm and 10 (watched) the cows. They 11 (were) very big but I 12 was (not) afraid of them. Then I 13 (played) football with my friends and 14 (went) to the forest 15 to (pick) up mushrooms and berries. In the evening, when I 16 (came) home, my parents usually 17  (asked) me, "Where 18 have you  (been)? What 19 have you been (doing)?" I 20 (told) them everything though I was tired.
