On the first Sunday of July the Day of Poetry is held there. Lots of people
from Russia and other countries make long journeys to take part in the festival
and to see Lermontov’s oak. The old legend says that the oak by the river was
planted by Lermontov himself. On this day people read Lermontov’s poetry,
tell stories about his life, drink tea from his samovar. Village people dressed in
the clothes of that time meet you in the house and you feel as if you’re living
in the 19th century.

В первое воскресенье июля здесь проходит День поэзии. Много людей
из России и других стран совершают длительные поездки, чтобы принять участие в фестивале
и увидеть дуб Лермонтова. Старая легенда гласит, что дуб у реки был
посаженный самим Лермонтовым. В этот день люди читали стихи Лермонтова,
рассказывать истории о своей жизни, пить чай из своего самовара. Деревенские люди, одетые в
одежда того времени встречает вас в доме, и вы чувствуете, как будто живете
в 19 ​​веке.
