The Caspian Sea is known for its huge sizes and sturgeon . The eggs of this large fish make caviar.
The water in the Caspian Sea is salty. That is one reason why it's called "sea". There are lots of countries near it, and there are over hundred and thirty of rivers flowing into it.
After archaeologists explored the cave near the sea, they understood, what Stone Age people lived near it as early as 75000 years ago . Modern cities on Caspian sea shores include Atyray and Aktay.

On 15 June 2007 ,Kazakhstan president decided to build a really long canal between Caspian Sea and Black Sea . It will allow Kazakh ships to sail over the world.
