Из Москвы в г. Сергач Нижегородской области вышел пассажирский поезд.Через 2 ч. в том же направлении вышел скорый поезд,скорость которого была на 20 км/ч больше, чем скорость пассажирского поезда. В г.Сергач поезда пришли одновременно.Найдите скорости поездов,если расстояние между городами равно 630 км.

Расстояние S = 630 км

Пассажирский поезд:
Скорость V₁ =  v км/ч
Время       t₁ =S/V₁ =  630/v  часов

Скорый поезд :
Скорость  V₂  = (v + 20) км/ч
Время       t₂  = S/V₂  =  630/(v + 20)   часов

По условию t₁  -  t₂  = 2 часа  ⇒ уравнение:
630/v     -  630/(v+20) =  2           |×  v(v+20)
v≠0 ; v≠ - 20
630(v + 20)  - 630v  = 2× v(v+20)
630v + 12600 - 630v  = 2v²  + 40v
12600 = 2v²  + 40v
2v² + 40v   - 12600 = 0
2(v² + 20v  - 6300) = 0                 | ÷ 2
v²  + 20v  - 6300 = 0
D = 20²  - 4×1× (-6300) = 400 + 25200 = 25600 =160²
D>0  - два корня уравнения
v₁ = ( - 20  + 160)/(2×1) = 140/2  = 70 (км/ч)  скорость пассажир.поезда 
v₂ = ( - 20  - 160)/(2×1) = -180/2  =-90 не удовл. условию задачи

V₂ = 70 + 20  = 90 (км/ч)  скорость  скорого поезда

Ответ :  70 км/ч скорость пассажирского поезда, 
              90 км/ч  скорость скорого поезда.
