Saving the environment yourself

The polluted and unhealthy world of today makes people realise the importance of keeping the environment safe. Man is beginning to understand that pollution is really a global problem. And if we want to keep our nature clean for ourselves and for the next generation, we should do our best to protect it. Anyway, everybody can do something to save our Earth.

So, what can one do to protect the planet? Firstly, it is possible to use a bicycle instead of going by car. Of course, you shouldn't use it if you need to go the place which is really far. However, people often use a car even for small distances. Using bicycle may shorten the air pollution which is made by traffic fumes of cars. Moreover, it will make you healthier as riding a bicycle is a kind of sport.

Secondly, don't make litter and if you have an opportunity clean rubbish from rivers, lakes and earth. It seems like an evident fact but rubbish seriously damages the nature. It decomposes for years and even centuries and in that process really pollutes the earth. If you throw in in a wastebasket, it will be easier to recycle it.

In addition, anyone can feed birds in winter, plant a tree or have showers instead of baths - showers use less water.

All in all, now even a little child should understand that there is something he himself can do to protect the environment.
